With Kelowna only an hour away and having tons of breweries, pubs, and bars to compete with, here is a list of some of the places to grab a drink (and food) in Vernon in no particular order.
Marten Brew Co.
The first and obvious one is Martens. It's the only brewpub in the city and has a range of different types of beers to try. They have happy hour drinks and eats, craft beer on tap, beer flights, and a variety of food in a relaxed atmosphere. It's one of my go-to places in Vernon. It may be a brewery but it also has ciders, wines, and cocktails.
Pint & Pie
Don't be fooled by the outside appearance of this place. It looks cold and dark from the street but has a cozy pub feel inside (and if it wasn't for the huge Pint & Pie sign outside, you would completely drive by it). Craft beers are on tap or in cans, British food, beer flights, and cocktails can be ordered here. Also daily lunch and dinner specials.
Brown Social House
Need a little more jazzed-up restaurant for you and your adult friends, look no further than Browns. Also serves breakfast on weekends and public holidays with adult drinks.
Wings
Not only can you get a ridiculous amount of wing flavours (27 to be exact) at Wings, they have happy hour drinks and nibbles, days of the week food specials, and something for everyone's tastebuds. Choose the lounge side if you want a more 'kids-free experience.
Earls
Earls has grown on me over the last few years. I used to think the food selection on their menu was way out there but now I totally love it! Each day has a daily special for either food or drinks and the lounge makes for the perfect night out. Say yes to Margarita Mondays!
Alexander's Pub
This one is located in Coldstream, but I stop every time I hike in this area. It has a casual, small-town feel to it, draft beers, happy hour nibbles, and space.
Match Eatery & Public House
Recently discovered with an outdoor patio, amazing food selection, and drink options are Match Eatery. Everything from happy hour drinks and food to seasonal features to daily specials.
The Kal
Want the best deep-fried pickles in town? The Kal has it! Daily specials, happy hour drinks, and a wide range of food and drinks. Also has a garage-style patio located at the front.
